146Q Vision Statement: At 146Q, we strive to ensure equity as we prepare and motivate our students for a global society by teaching them critical thinking skills, varied perspectives, perseverance and a respect for cultural differences, for them to be proactive members of society today and tomorrow.
Mission Statement: Or mission is for staff, parents, and the 146Q community to encourage a desire for learning, academic excellence, respect for one another and our differences. We are dedicated to the intellectual, personal, social and physical growth of our students. Through a variety of culturally responsive experiences, our students discover their potential, achieve readiness for college and careers, and succeed in a safe and caring environment.
146Q Focus/Priority Statement: Building teacher capacity through ongoing professional learning and feedback, to deliver culturally responsive instruction that promotes meaningful conversations and insights into student thinking.
Instructional Focus: To engage students in culturally responsive productive struggle and problem solving that demonstrates their thinking and knowledge across content areas.

BREAKFAST SCHEDULE:
Grades 1 through 3 - 7:40-8:00am eat breakfast in the Cafeteria.
Grades 4 and 5 - 7:40-8:00am grab breakfast in the main lobby and eat in the auditorium.
Grades 6, 7, 8 - Grab and go breakfast in the main lobby. Students eat grab and go breakfast in Classroom.
Hot lunch is now available for FREE for the remainder of the 21-22 school year. Students always have the option of brining their own lunch to school.

Visitor Notes
ALL SCHOOL VISITORS MUST SIGN IN AT SECURITY AND SHOW PROPER IDENTIFICATION.
All visitors must wear a face covering when on school property which includes the schoolyard and all sidewalks around the school building.
Social distancing guideline must be followed by all visitors.

Enter and Exit through class doors in the small playground on 99th Street

ALL OTHER STUDENTS: 8:00 A.M. - 2:20 P.M.
GRADES 1 & 2& 3: Enter through exit 8 on side school yard (gate closest to 158th Ave. on 99th St.) and dismiss exit 7 in the large school yard.
GRADES 4: Enter through exit 7 in the large schoolyard ( to the left of the small playground) and exit through 5 on side of auditorium.
GRADE 5: Enter through exit 7 in the large schoolyard by the playground. Dismissal from exit 2 on 159th Street.
GRADE 6: Enter through the main door on 99th Street. Dismissal from exit 3 on 159th Street.
GRADES 7 & 8: Enter and exit through the main door on 99th Street.
Grades 1-5 many start entering the building at 7:40 if they want breakfast. Grades 6-8 will be able to have a grab & go breakfast.

NYC FITNESSGRAM
Parents and legal guardians can now view their child's confidential NYC FITNESSGRAM results online on their NYC SCHOOLS ACCOUNT. We encourage you to create an account if you do not already have one. See the NYC Schools Account FAQ for details on how parents can sign up for an account. If you are unable to access the NYC Schools Account, ask your child's Physical Education teacher to print out a report for you. Reports for this school year will be available by mid-May. The information in these reports is private and will not be displayed or made public; the results are not part of your child's academic record.
