  • FEBRUARY 2, 2017 ***IMPORTANT LETTER TO PARENTS AND GUARDIANS***

    Dear Parents/Guardians:

This morning, it was reported to the building administrators that a threatening statement about the school had been posted on social media.  As a result, the police and school safety were contacted. NYPD investigated the matter and found that the threat was not credible.  I want to assure you that all proper protocols and procedures were followed and that the appropriate authorities were notified.  At no time were any of the students or staff in danger.  The safety of your children is my number one priority.  I thank you for your continued cooperation and support. If you have any questions you can contact our Parent Coordinator, Coleen Mainieri at (718) 659-3140.

    Respectfully,

    Mary Keegan, Principal, PS/MS 146Q

  • PS/MS 146 CELEBRATES TEAM UP TUESDAY 10/25/16

The partnership between the NYPD and the DOE continues to build strong community ties between schools and their local precints with it's second annual Team Up Tuesday.  Officers from the 106 pct teamed up with our middle school students for an informative Q&A.  Questions focused on a variety of issues facing our teen youth today such as peer pressure, bullying, substance abuse and gangs.   The NYPD answered these questions and shared with them ways to avoid getting caught up in any of these negative antisocial behaviors and remind them that help is always available for them in school, at home and within the NYPD.
